The Basic Education Unit (BEU) administrators and faculty flew to Hongkong and Macau on July 15-17, 2019 for a three-day adventure.

The first day of the trip gave the group a fun-filled childhood experience as they tried the breathtaking rides, witnessed the amazing shows, parade of characters, and enjoyed the scenic spots of Disneyland. Fancied for a whole day walk, ride, laughter and fun, the group rode back to Panda Hotel, their abode for two days and two nights.

On the second day, the group explored more of the city. They visited Hongkong Jewelry shop, gazed at the thrilling Victoria peak and was delighted by the refreshing and panoramic view at Victoria South Harbor known as Avenue of Stars where each excitedly had different poses. Having reached Tai -o fishing village, they traversed the place thru boats; hence, had a sight on the locals and their way of life. Trekking the corners of Ladies Market/Mongkok, the group ended the day having a taste of the city’s delactables.

The third day of the trip awed the group with the grandiose history, and richness of Macau. Each endlessly took memoirs at the ruins of Cathedral of St. Paul, Fisherman’s Wharf and at the astonishing Wynn Macau Resort, Galaxy Hotel and Casino, and the Venetian. Everyone also had a glimpse of Eifel Tower and Our Lady of Macau shrine when the sites were passed by. The last day culminated with the visit to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady and to the A-Ma temple.

Landing safely NAIA dawn of July 18, the BEU HK-Macau sightseers were grateful to all the people who had put this rare and beautiful opportunity into a reality.
