SPUP stud is co-founder of new int’l org

cofounderintlorg.jpgRANDYMAX BULAQUIT, REGIONAL Coordinator of the United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines (UNYAP), co-founded the Asia Pacific Youth Network on Climate Change (AYCC) on October 2, 2009, in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bulaquit established the AYC, together with Prof. Serafin A. Arviola Jr., Director for Youth Affairs of UNAP; Mr. Angelito Francis B. Veloso; Ms. Katherine Santos; and Ma. Kristel Georgia Mendoza of PNU-UNESCO Club. Bulaquit established the organization to take concrete actions on climate change issues in the Asia-Pacific region.

The newly-formed network is an initiative of the youth from Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

AYCC’s international coordinator and secretariat is based in Katmandu, Nepal; and, every member nation has its country director.

Bulaquit was designated chairman for international membership, while his fellow Philippine delegate, Mr. Angelito Francis B. Veloso, was designated AYCC country director.
