DepEd, TEC sponsor Teacher Induction Program

In collaboration with the St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP), the Department of Education (DepEd) Region 02 and the Teacher Education Council (TEC) conducted the Teacher Induction Program (Third Batch) at SPUP, Tuguegarao City, May 17-21, 2010.

The first and second batch, also in collaboration with SPUP, was held on May and October 2009, respectively.

Speakers from DepEd, TEC and SPUP shared their expertise on classroom management, use of educational technology in the classroom and engaging strategies in teaching Mathematics, Science and English.

Participants of the five-day seminar-workshop were elementary and secondary teachers from four DepEd Divisions: Cagayan, Nueva Viscaya, Quirino, and Tuguegarao City.

Being the Center for Development for Teacher Education in Cagayan Valley, the School of Arts , Sciences and Teacher Education, through the leadership of Dr. Agripina Maribbay, spearheaded the said training for the young DepEd educators.

Present during the opening program were the DepEd-Region 02 Director, Dr. Benito Tumamao, DepEd Administrative Officer Mario Baniqued and SPUP’s Vice President for Academics, Sister Nicole de Marie Dabalus,SPC.
