As a way of maintaining quality service and customer-friendly atmosphere at St. Paul University Philippines, SPUP conducted a seminar-workshop for its office staff at the SPUP Science Multi-Media, February 27, 2010.
Dubbed as Phone Etiquette and Customer Satisfaction, the activity was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Administration, in coordination with the Office of Human Resource Management.
Dr. Concepcion G. Doyugan, Coordinator of the Intercultural Institute for Languages, was the resource speaker. Dr. Doyugan discussed the standards on correct/ polite behavior during telephone conversation. She also lectured on how to mingle with social/professional groups.
The esteemed speaker stressed that politeness in communication brings about harmony in the workplace, especially on customer-relations.
Since the office assistants are considered frontliners in the service delivery in the institution, the seminar-workshop was an avenue for them to rejuvenate and further enhance their skills and knowledge in handling customers’ queries, requests and even demands with utmost care and sincerity.
As a gesture of appreciation, a certificate was given to the speaker by Sr. Ma. Adelina Portillo, SPC, VP for Administration, assisted by Dr. Lucrina Tamayao, Director of Human Resource Management.
