RPD sends SPUP researcher to training

The Research, Planning and Development (RPD) of St. Paul University Philippines tasked Mr. Jaycee Augusto Paguirigan to attend a training at Bulwagang James Ter Meer, University of St. Louis(USL), Tuguegarao City, held on January 21, 2010.
The training, which included a writeshop on Technology Disclosure and Claim Drafting, focused on Intellectual Property Management.
The training was an attempt to: increase the level of specialization on the importance of IP management in the R & D process; develop the skills of researchers in applying the IP management tools in R & D undertakings, specifically disclosing intellectual properties (IPs) derived from their respective projects; enable researches to rightfully draft claims for ready patenting.
The training-writeshop was spearheaded by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 02, in collaboration with the DOST- Philippine Council for Agricultural, Forestry and Natural Resources Research Development (PCARRD).
