In a letter sent by the Sogang University (SU) of Korea dated Jan. 5, 2010, Randymax Bulaquit was accepted as exchange student for the spring semester, academic year 2010.

Signed by Sogang University President Jong-wook Lee, the letter of acceptance and the certificate of admission were sent to Bulaquit.

As stated in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) and Sogang University, Bulaquit will pay tuition fee to his home university.

St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) and Sogang University are sister universities under the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia (ACUCA).

SU, owned by the Society of Jesus Congregation, also offered Bulaquit an option to enrol Korean language classes through a scholarship waiver.

When asked how he qualified as exchange student, Bulaquit said he just sincerely discussed his plans and intentions with the AYLC panel.

Bulaquit, Student Assistance Program grantee of St. Paul University Philippines, is a third year BSE student, majoring in English. As coordinator of the United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines (UNYAP), he co-founded the Asia Pacific Youth Network on Climate Change (AYCC) on October 2, 2009, in Bangkok, Thailand.
