SEAMEO-INNOTECH orients stakeholders on DepED Excels

NINE DEPED TOP BRASS AND 114 PRINCIPALS FROM Region II attended the Orientation on Instructional and Curricular Excellence in School Leadership and Management (IC EXCELS) held at St. Paul University Philippines, November 12-13, 2009.
Dubbed as DepED EXCELS, the program is under the auspices of South East Asian Ministers of Education Organization- Regional Center for Educational Innovation and Technology (SEAMEO-INNOTECH).
Dr. Ophelia Veniegas, SEAMEO-INNOTECH tutor, spearheaded the orientation that accommodated the stakeholders, composed of superintendents, principals, tutors and nominated tutors.
The Superintendents of Region II, together with Dr. Mario Baniqued, DepEd Region II Administrative Officer, attended the computer hands-on for them to be able to follow up the attendance and participation of their tutee-nominees – principals and teachers-in-charge.
During the orientation, the tutee-nominees simulated the online tutorial, which is supposed to be done when the formal online sessions start on November 23, 2009.
Meanwhile, two SPUP administrators and SEAMEO-INNOTECH tutors also attended the orientation: Dr. Josephine Campañano, University Registrar, and Dr. Ma. Teresa Maguigad, Director of the Center for Professional Development.
