I.T. Profs licensed as programmers

THREE SPUP INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) faculty members, namely: Mr. Ritchie Avena, Mr. George Bicera Jr. and Mr. Dirk Benedict Tuddao, passed the National Certification on Programming Proficiency conducted by the National Computing Center (NCC).

The IT licensure examination for Region 02 was held in April 2009 at St. Paul University Philippines.

The exam, which lasted for eight hours, comprised of the written examination (first part) and the programming or system development part focusing on library system (second part).

With the three SPUP faculty now duly licensed programmers, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Provincial Office is eyeing the University to be the testing center for Programming NC IV in Region 02.
