SPUP Swordsmen crowned champion in 1st Tuddao Cup

Paulinian employees excel not only in academics but also in sports.
THE SPUP EMPLOYEES’ Basketball Team bagged the championship trophy in the 1st Anthony Tuddao Basketball Friendship Games, November 21, 2009.
Alejo Cambri, SASTE faculty member, was named as the Cup’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) while Francisco Alberto was hailed Best Coach. Meanwhile, Harry Constantino was tagged as the Most Defensive Player of the Tournament.
With the spirit of teamwork and ‘never-say-die’ attitude, the Paulinian basketeers bested 13 more established teams which participated in the basketball tournament for professionals.
Coached by Mr. Francisco Alberto and Mr. Ricky Maribbay, the team composed of SPUP employees, namely: Giovani Morales, Arvin Alonzo, Alejo Cambri, Rey Villon, Jengland Quilala, Hollis Sibal, Antonio Salvador, Noel Alconcher, Noni Tabulog, Gary Balubal, Melecio Tumaliuan, Rufo Tuddao and Rogelio Fermin. The team was supported by three Paulinian varsity: Lyden Siling, Anthony Abbariao and Harry Constantino.
