The Administration Office of St. Paul University Philippines held a seminar-workshop on Good Work Ethics for the non-teaching personnel.

The seminar for the maintenance personnel was held on Nov. 14, 2009, at the Father Louis Chauvet Teleconference Room, and for the staff on Nov. 28, 2009, at the Science Multi-Media Room. Such seminar was part of the personnel development program of the University, aimed at enriching and enhancing the ethical practices in the workplace.

The speaker for both groups was Sr. Ma. Adellina Portillo, SPC, Vice President for Administration. Using a PowerPoint presentation, Sr. Adelina discussed the ethical practices, as provided in the University Personnel Manual. Points emphasized were: 1) “My Work is My Mission;” 2) punctuality; 3) quality performance; 4) teamwork; 5) efficiency, and, 6) customer satisfaction.

The seminar ended with a workshop, with each individual answering a prepared questionnaire on their strong points, as well as the weak points to be worked at, for improvement purposes. The results would hopefully reveal the profile of each group regarding the ethical practices at the workplace.
