Paulinians Join the St. Paul Day National Celebration in Araneta

On Januay 25, 2009, around 1,500 Paulinians from St. Paul university Philippines composed of sisters, teachers and students traveled to Manila to join the St. Paul Day National Celebration in Araneta Coliseum.

The celebration was truly memorable as Paulinians all over the Philippines gathered together to commemorate the wonderful faith-story of St. Paul the apostle, the patron saint of all schools owned and managed by the St. Paul of Chartres Congregation in the Philippine Province.

Joining the Paulinians in the celebration were representatives from other Catholic colleges and universities, religious groups and priests and bishops all over the Philippines.

SPUP Wins in the Regional Search for the School with the Most Outstanding Student Services

St. Paul University recently won in the Regional Search for the School with the Most Outstanding Student Services organized and implemented by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

The technical panel which evaluated the existing programs of the University was headed by CHED. All the documents submitted highlighted the different programs and activities of the University under the Student Services and Student Affairs departments. By winning in the regional search, SPUP was then included among the schools which will compete for the national level.

Kudos to Mr. Jeremy Morales, Ms. Juana Rivera and Mr. Peejay Lappay who prepared all the documents!

Public Relations Team Spearheads School Campaign

A Public Relations Team was created this school year to spearhead the marketing and promotions of the different courses and services offered in the University.

In may 2008 during the Educators’ Congress, the members of the SPUP delegation were met by Sister Remy Angela Junio, SPC to brainstorm on strategies that will help enhance the public image of the University and strengthen the University’s marketing and promotions. One of the suggestions raised in the meeting was the creation of a team which will work on all these efforts. Hence, the birth of the Public Relations Team, which is composed of Sister Jocelyn Casio, SPC, Sister May Macalam, SPC, Mr. Jeremy Morales, Ms. Lourdenia Taguiam, Mr. Arvin Alonzo, Mr. Recto Aguirre, Mr. Allan Peejay Lappay, Mrs. Esther Yu and Ms. March Adriano.

The team is presently visiting secondary schools in Region 02 to promote the University and market its different academic programs.
