TO EXTEND A HELPING HAND to SPUP employees and students who were adversely affected by Typhoon Pepeng, University President Sr. Remy Angela Junio, Spc, formed the Damage Assessment Team (DAT).

Headed by the WATCH Point Person, Mr Sergio Imperio, the team includes: Mr. Rey Miguel, Mr. John Paul Badajos, Mr. Arvin Alonzo, and Mr. Amman Gener Pimentel.

The team inspected the employees’ house and farms reported to be damaged by Typhoon ‘Pepeng’ and took some pictures and video footages, which served as the bases for the help given.

As of press time, SPUP – through the report of the DAT and the help of Ms. Jane Umoso – has distributed G.I. sheets, umbrella nails, common wood nails, vulca seal, plywood, sawali and lumber. SPUP will also distribute corn and palay seeds to its employees whose farms were ravaged during the lingering typhoon.
