RPDO conducts SPSS Seminar Workshop

Dubbed as “Reinforcing a Dynamic Research Culture in the SPUS towards Global Research Competence,” the Research, Planning and Development Office (RPDO) conducted a three-day seminar workshop on research on July 22-24, 2009 at the Science Multi-Media of St. Paul University Philippines.
The overall objectives of the seminar-workshop were: to be acquainted with the new directions for research in higher education in the Philippines; to assimilate the uses of SPSS; to understand online research and emerging Methodologies; and, to acquire skills in research writing, writing for external funding and international conferences/presentations, and data analysis using SPSS.
Hosted by St. Paul University Philippines, St. Paul University Manila, St. Paul University Iloilo, St. Paul University Dumaguete, St. Paul University Surigao, St. Paul College Quezon City, and St. Paul College of San Miguel, the seminar workshop accommodated the faculty and administrators of the different universities and colleges owned and managed by the SPC Congregation in the Philippines.
The resource speakers, Dr. Paz Diaz and Dr. Jesus B. Pizarro, generously shared their expertise on research.
Meanwhile, after the seminar workshop, the participants visited some of the tourist spots in the region. They paid a short visit to the Basilica Minore of Our Lady of Piat, the Iguig Calvary Hills, and the Callao Cave.
