Grade School is granted PAASCU Level III!
Date posted: 01.29.2009
"Great effort results to great achievement." After having hurdled months preparing a 200-page written report, the Grade School department was recently
granted a Level III status from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) for a period of five years.
Since there was no visitation required for those invited to apply for Level III, the written report, which was evaluated by the PAASCU accreditors, was the sole basis for granting
such status and it was based on the following guidelines:
- reasonably high standard of instruction;
- well-developed mechanism for improving and upgrading its own curriculum;
- creditable performance of its teachers that promotes effectiveness of teaching and learning;
- high level of achievement and performance of students in both academic and co-corricular activities;
- a highly visible community extension program describing the nature and extent of students' and teachers' involvement and the impact of such program/s on the community; and
- a strong faculty development tradition evidenced by an appropriate budget allocation for faculty and/or systematic plan for staff development.
With this achievement and the continuous quest of the school in improving its standards, the Grade School is optimistic in achieving higher status.
