The BANATAO SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION INC. Training for English, Math and Science Teachers

The Salvador and Rosita Banatao Scholarship Foundation , in collaboration with the School of Education of St. Paul University Philippines, the Ateneo Council for Educational Development of the Ateneo de Manila University and the Department of Education, Region II conducted the
Elementary School Teachers' Training Program with the theme “ Teaching Science, Mathematics and English in the Grades” last May 19-21, 2009 at St. Paul University Philippines.
Trainors from the Ateneo de Manila University were invited as resource speakers to update the participants on content and strategies in the teaching of the three tool subjects namely English, Mathematics and Science.
Through the coordination made by Mrs. Bernie Quimpo, the Executive Director of the Banatao Scholarship Foundation, Inc. with Dr. Agripina B. Maribbay, the Dean of the School of Education of SPUP, the conduct of the three-day seminar was made possible for the elementary teachers from Iguig District who were the main target participants of the seminar. They were joined by the SPUP Grade School teachers and the Subject Area Chairpersons from the SPUP High School Department.
