Have you watched Mulawin the movie, the new Hansel TV ad and Hoodwinked?
Did you know that the lead animator of the team which created these is not only a Cagayano but a Paulinian, from high school to college? He is Mr. Numeriano Tong Agustin.
Mr. Agustin conducted a half-day training on MAYA 3D Animation last August 31, 2009 at LRC 402 and 403.
The BSIT 4th year students together with some SITE officers and IT Faculty attended the seminar. They were amused with the speaker’s sharing on 3D animation.
Nume, as he was fondly called when he was a student, is now known in the animation industry as “Wings” because he loves to animate characters that have wings, or characters that can fly.
During the seminar, Mr. Agustin stressed that he has become what he is now because of humility and willingness to work.
Moreover, “Wings” articulated that his experiences at SPUP (being a member of the Campus Ministry, the Glee Club – now known as the SPUP Chorale – and the annual stage play) enhanced his creativity that helped him create the animated characters and objects.
“Wings” was formed at SPUP for almost eight years as he first set foot on the university premises (High School Department) in June 1987. He stayed until he finished Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information System (BSCIS) in March 1995.
