INTERNET LABORATORY

internet lab01The University is the Internet Nodal Station in Region 02 and is one of the four Philippine universities authorized by Microsoft as a training partner. The computers are continually updated to keep abreast with the latest technology. Computer technicians are available to ensure the smooth operation of all computers.



internetlab02The Internet is the biggest online repository of knowledge in the world. It is free and it is still growing. It is an electronic network of computers that connects practically every major institution in the world including governments, universities, commercial companies, organizations and other research facilities. Thus, it is a must for any learning institution.

Aside from being a major resource for knowledge, the Internet also provides students online learning which is essential in modern education. Online education is a teaching and learning process that utilizes Internet technologies to communicate and collaborate. The Internet provides functionality for transmitting information and, hence, exchanges of ideas between people of different countries, races, ages, religions, cultures and political beliefs. It revolutionizes education by giving alternative formats of information. Among the primary features are 24-7 accessibility of materials and online interaction among students and faculty through list groups, forums and real time chatting.

The University utilizes the Internet as a major educational tool in teaching students in order to supplement traditional classroom learning as well as to enhance the classroom experience.

SIMULATION LABORATORY

simulation lab01 The Simulation Laboratory for Business delivers a hands-on experience of the professional workplace and gives students a more in depth and profound learning in the corporate world. The Simulation Laboratoty makes a representation in realistic form of the relevant process, operations and situation of a business thereby familiarizing students how events happen in real situations. The SLB initiates competitiveness, motivates, and augments the students' interest and simulation lab02involvement in their major courses of study.

THE PROGRAM

All third year students are required to complete the Simulation Program before taking the Practicum. For the students to complete the Simulation Program, they have to accumulate at least 120 points and at least 10 hours of simulation activities. After the requirements are met, they are awarded a certificate of completion in the Simulation Program. A student who completed 150 hours or more is given a Certificate of Efficiency in the Simulation Program.
