Also located in this building is the university system, which integrates all branches and functions of the St. Paul University System into one cohesive religious educational institution. This is important for the standardization of our quality of education as well as optimization in the utilization of our resources.
Just beside the Our Lady of Chartres Building, is the Our Lady of Fatima or High School Building for the secondary education.
Education after Grade School which is also a preparation for college is provided in high school. It provides an indepth learning of the basic subjects in the elementary. As such, it focuses on the higher stages of learning namely: analysis, application, integration and
evaluation vis a vis the lower stages of knowledge: memorization and comprehension. As such secondary education focuses on functional literacy - the kind of education that prepares a person to function in an operational organization such as the society where he/ she lives in. Hence, high school graduates are expected to be capable to do practical work or job that requires minimum skills but sufficient for basic sustainenance as independent persons.
The St. Paul building is also considered as the science building in the University. It houses all the physical science laboratories used by students for study and experimental research. This includes laboratories in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology and other natural sciences. These laboratories are strategically integrated for interdisciplinary research works. Science experts and professors assist students to facilitate the conduct of experiments.
The building also accommodates the Science Centrum, which is located at the first floor. The Science Centrum is a science exhibit or museum established for the promotion of science and technology awareness and interest among the youth and the general populace.
The design and construction of the St. Paul Building is vital to support the needs of scientific studies and experiments as well as the safety of the students and protection of the environment. This includes the general purpose facilities, administrative space, utility systems, work areas, water and plumbing, proper waste disposal and sanitation, fire safety, electrical system, chemical storage, handling of equipment among many others. To remain responsive and abreast with the latest technology, laboratory equipment and instruments are constantly upgraded while the building per se undergoes repair and renovation from time to time to be suitable for laboratory works.
