LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER

lrc01 The Learning Resource Center is a five-storey building that houses the major repositories of knowledge in the University. It houses the Mother Madeleine Hall and the University Archives at the ground floor, the graduate and college library and the World Bank - Knowledge for Development Center on the second and third floors, the School of Engineering and Information Technology Office and computer laboratories on the fourth floor, and Case Presentation and Review Rooms for the lrc02Nursing students on the fifth floor.

The Graduate and College Library has 37, 366 titles and 59, 713 volumes which can be traced through the card catalog and the On-line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Internet facilities enable library users to enhance data gathering. The Grade School and High School libraries are found in separate locations.

lrc03The Learning Resource Center also provides instructional materials such as videotapes, transparencies and slides as well as equipment for audio-visual presentations.

The LRC building has small pagodas around its perimeters. These kiosks are venues for introspection as well as discussion among students as learning is a cognitive process. The University encourages students to think critically in receiving lrc04information, to challenge established facts and to create new knowledge. It focuses on the higher forms of knowledge which are analysis, integration and evaluation.
