UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
St. Paul University is one of the 42 schools owned, managed, and operated by the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres in the Philippines. It was founded in 1907. Starting as
a pre-school for girls in Tuguegarao, the school was granted university status by the Philippine government in 1982. It is the first educational institution in Region 02 to be accredited by the Philippine
Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU).
With a steady progress through the years, the university provided new facilities and opened additional courses in response to the need of the region, country, and the world.
St. Paul University Philippines earned its niche among the global centers of learning: the first Catholic University in Asia and the first private university in the Philippines to be ISO 9001:2000 certified, and the lead university of the St. Paul University System - the first system school in the country recognized by the CHED.

SCHOOL OBJECTIVES
The Tertiary Level of St. Paul University has FIVE (5) basic schools. Each one is organized to complement and supplement the activities of the other Schools geared towards the fulfillment of the University mission - the total formation of the student.
Although differentiated in terms of discipline, thrusts, skills-formation, and objectives, the different schools are permeated with common atmosphere - the religious dimension of teaching in each one. We believe that religion is the fundamental
instrument that will bring about the total salvation and final union with God that we seek. Thus, Theology serves to unify all academic subjects and to direct these toward the principle "not only in believing but in living." In this manner, non-Theology subjects,
while being faithful to the principles of their discipline, give a Catholic orientation to the application of the knowledge and skills acquired by the students. Doctrine and theory are thus made more meaningful through practice to provide students with the
experience of externalizing their individual convictions and be committed to the "Apostolate of Christian Example".
